can't you just set a long loop length for said part in a new group?

until NI have Sidechain options in Kore and Maschine, than i forbid them to even think about making a DAW.

Please NI don't make a DAW - do what you're so good at doing...

No daw. In fact Maschine needs an option to load without the current sequencer app and just the browser. This way it could work as a full vst inside a daw. Sort of like Battery with a kick ass controller and a better library. It should be at least 8 part multi timbral. Thats all I want.

sure...but an audio track would of course be better. This way...anywhere i start the track the audio will play from that spot. Triggering it makes one have to start from the beginning each time (unless you slice the whole acapella...which I dont prefer) like i said..this is only a wish (of mine) Maschine is still great

an audio section in maschine would be a cool option, cuz like you said, it's not the same as triggering samples.

we'll see. I still don't want them to make a daw...maybe a mini daw or mv8000 style box with a few audio tracks built in,

we'll see, I'm just excited about the progress and future potential

On the other hand something that directly competes with Ableton I'd welcome. They need some direct competition to knock down their prices.

What I'd really like from NI would be a physical modelling synth along the lines of Tassman and Sculpture.

Id rather see the evolution of Maschine instead NI doing another DAW. There are so many things that could be done with the Maschine Concept, especially in Standalone. I really curious to see the future of Maschine.

What you just described is Ableton Live with Komplete 5 + Kore 2.

I agree, I want to see what Maschine can become!

I don't want to see another daw, and I rather like the idea of Maschine standalone until I'm ready to track something out, but if they continue to develop the audio export, it will be fine.

Ableton is fine for my daw, I don't need another, let maschine do something different, and continue to blaze paths in new age music making tools.

indeed. That's definitely what has been described here lol.

    DAW

I've been asking NI to create a DAW from the days of Generator...
They have the knowledge and integration of software to make a
21st century DAW - not one based on the old paradigm of the tape
recorder but a new type of environment.
I agree with the proposal and would be interested in NI's future plans
    in this area..

So this is what I'm trying to say in regards to this. What about those that don't want Abelton or Patterns and Scenes. NI should either stay away from a DAW or include a browser only mode that would bypass all sequencing /daw environments. This could allow output to a host daw like a normal vst. More options for use would mean more users.

I think Maschine would be at home and useful in a lot of places that right now people wouldn't consider because its basically tied to its own limited sequencer when run in a daw like Cubase.

I was thinking. If Kore had a sequencer or perhaps interface with Maschine someho (like a module of sorts) then maschine and Kore would be a very powerful combo. Would I be able to sequence midi from one plugin to another in the upcoming Kore update?

At this poitn I woudl love to see Kore and Maschine kind of morph into each and have a symbiotic relationhip liek Reason and Record. With some added audio sequencing tools (which could be added to Maschine) then it woudl practically almost be a DAW but tailored more towards performance. There could be other enhancements in Kore such as channel strips etc, but they are pretty much hlfway there already. I think I'll put together a mock-up of what I mean.

Yo I would like to see a couple things intergrated into a DAW/Sequencer. I agree with how the Reason/Record is. NI would kill them if they could do this. Intergrate Kore, Maschine, Traktor into a DAW that would be awsome! Then you wouldn't need 2 computers. Yo I would pay a nice price for that. What would also be dope that no one has done and kills me is this. How bout the ability to have different channel strip models like for instance SSL, API, Neve virtlual consoles. I keep telling NI to hire me lol. Oh yeah and use Receptor for additional dsp power. You guys would kill the market.

but you can sequence midi from one plugin to another already. i have been using a Reaktor Sequencer - Drum16 - to trigger Battery sounds in Kore for ages, by sending MIDI from Reaktor to Battery.

the 1.1 update will enable Maschine to send MIDI to other other plugins in Kore.

btw, Kore's current Monophonic Sequencer can send MIDI data to other plugins.

i am sure you could have Traktor running Maschine as a plugin inside Kore on one computer.

That is what I was asking. I wasn't sure if it was possible or not. I haven't really touched Kore in a while. Perhaps Kore with scenes and patterns like Maschine woudl be cool. with some added audio capability like dropping a file in the sequencer and have it autosync/timestretch like Record and live bouncing (bouncing tracks to audio should happen on the fly without a stutter).
