Hi all - I've browsed through the other F1 sequencer threads (and had all of those issues as well..) but haven't found these yet - hoping someone can clue me in a bit. I'm no noob with Traktor generally but i've never really explored the remix decks. However - after a *insert long story* I now have an S4 and F1....and updated to 2.11 to try out the sequencer....

So I got it to load up ok (eventually!) and I can get the sequencer working fine. The main issue for me is that I would like to be able to then switch back to a normal remix deck at some point and play with loops etc.

However - when I press shift+browse to revert to default mapping....it all goes weird. It's like it's stuck on sequencer but the actual blue sequencer pads don't light up...it just looks like a normal remix deck. As an example - I switched form a standard sequenced drum set to a remix set with loops. Triggered the first loop and it just repeated the first note... or alternatively it just goes generally mental and plays stuff at random.

Is it just not possible to switch back and forth between remix and sequencer easily...or is there something I should be looking at? If I can't switch between them then the sequencer becomes less useful as a performance tool....

I don't have this problem at all. When I press SHIFT + BROWSE, it reverts fine for me. Do you at least see that the pads are reverting back to the colors of the samples you have loaded for that specific remix deck? Try to delete all of the Traktor.Kontrol.User devices in your Controller Manager settings and then re-add the Traktor Kontrol F1 device as described by NI here: https://support.native-instruments....equencer-with-a-TRAKTOR-KONTROL-F1-Controller

It does go back to the pad colours; it's just playback that is messed up. I tried deleting all the user devices in settings - restarted traktor - etc etc. Someone suggested it may be due to teh Controller Editor; but I haven't had a chance to check it out. However...it's good to know it should work just fine - thank you!

Have you figured it out? Hope this helps if not.

I noticed that when I was playing the sequencer and hitting shift+ browse to exit the sequencer this one would shut up, well because it shuts up hitting shift right? I wanted to keep a sequence running and then a loop as you say. I solved this by changing the mapping to shut the sequencer up with the sync button within the sequencer. now I can exit freely from the sequencer and not have it go off.

What I think is happening to you is, you have a sequence programmed in so when you exit the sequencer it only "shuts up" but does not disable your programming. So essentially if you go out and trigger a sample it will recall the sequencer program and start playing those notes in that order. if its a loop it it will sound mental because it will not even finish a cycle when it starts the next, well its the sequencer.

Now how I would solve this would be to de=program all the sequences before exiting and then you can play one shots or loops.

    Hope that makes sense.
