Been using Traktor pro ever since it cam out, and I'm pretty familiar with almost everything it does - but just recently have been experiencing a very strange problem..

The pitch control slowly increases automatically. It only takes about 20 seconds for it to reach the full maximum (+8%)..
As you can imagine - This isn't really good for the song playing at the time..

    A little background info..

    - This has happened twice to me in the last week - I'm not entirely sure if it's a bug with 1.2 or if it's just something real dumb that I am doing wrong (although I've been using Traktor for a long time)

    - It can happen in mid set - Both times I had been playing for several hours, and then it happened to one of the decks - I had to restart traktor to fix the problem

    - I use traktor with timecode (Last week I used vinyl / Last night I was using CDJ), but tend to switch to INTERNAL mode once a track has started playing. Not entirely sure what mode the problem occured in.

    - The only thing that stops it is restarting Trakor - I can't figure out what is causing it, and I've tried pretty much everything to make it stop (Switched different modes / manually adjusted the pitch fader (Just keeps increasing automatically) / Taken KEY on & Off...)

    anyone else experienced this problem?

I really need to get to the bottom of it, as it happened twice in 1 week - Is it something I've overlooked? Something I'm doing incorrectly? Any advice would be great..

this looks like your CD deck has an unstable pitch :)

You haven't got key lock or master tempo activated on your cd deck have you?

no - I know it's definately a problem isolated to the software, and not the equipment I'm using, as It's happened at 3 different venues - Last night i was using timecoded vinyl and it happened twice!
Plus it's happening whilst in Internal mode..

I'm really puzzled.. Now been 4 times in the space of 1 week..
About to sit down right now and see if I can replicate the problem here at home..
    ---
still quite puzzled about this, but managed to find out what is triggereing the problem...

I have a keyboard shortcut for SEARCH set at CNTRL F
and a keyboard shortcuts for Deck B tempo increase set on F

seems that after I do a search, press return, and then use the F key to increase tempo of a deck B, the F key seems to continually repeat - thus auto increasing the tempo..

    weird

Now - Im 99.9% sure this never happened until this new update, as it's a problem that only just occured this week..

Well I havn't worked out WHY this is happening, and my only solution to stop it has been to disable my keyboard short CNTRL F for search (Which is really not an ideal solution for me) - But at least I've isolated the problem

Ya mine does the same thing when I load the same track onto the other deck.
It'll take the pitch on the other deck and put it all the way up.
I've done it with internal mode, external with at least 4 different setups and so on.
So it's definitely something in the program and not hardware.

    Same here, and even more

Same here. When loading the same track on more than one deck, the pitch jumps to +8. Weird enough, if reloaded, the track is loaded with 0%. Note that I'm not using TS pitch controllers at all, but use my turntables for pitch settings, so I expect the track to be loaded with zero pitch always.

An even more disturbing was a case when messing around with the same track on two decks created a state where one of decks was practically disabled (!). The track details became Gibberish, without the ability to play anything. When loaded yet again, the track details were correct, visually, it was playing, but no audio signal was sent to the mixer (indicators showed nothing), or could be heard from the monitors. I was forced to restart the program in order to use that deck again.

The problem is I don't know what the exact scenario was. I guess some serious stress test with repeating loads of the same track to more then one decks will reproduce the problem.
