what do i need to use traktor?

i am trying to use traktor with a controller the cheapest way possible, besides the program what else do i need/ i am mostly a producer but i am wanting to get into djing, i have a digidesign 002, since i have this do i still need an an audio interface from NI like audio4?

also if i am not scratching do i still need like the timecode cds or vinyl?

Depend on the way yu want to mix... if you've never mixed on real vinyl, Timecode is IMOHO redundant. You'd better geta nice controler. As you own a good audio interface and as timecode is not crucial, you don't need to buy an Audio X DJ card.

As controler, for a cheap but correct you could check Hercules DJ control Steel, or Reloop Digital Jockey 2 ... However, if you already own some kind of midi controler, you can assign Traktor's controls to it and start playing .

 

thanks for the help i just got the numark total control. since its more a hobby as of right now. my main focus will stay on production.

i use to dj vinyl like 10 years ago, until i got bored of it and switched to production. but with traktor it really has changed what you can do with djing

i really cant wait till there is like aN all in one DJ/VJ in program like traktor.


its weird though i was using the effects in traktor today in advanced mode. then when i changed them to chained. my numark quit working the effects part. now the numarks effects knobs are not working. i reloaded template. restarted traktor still nothing.

did you install the taktor update 1.22 after installing your controler? if so un-install traktor and re-install
