What happens if you buy 2.0 on the 1st, and after one month you buy the Studio ?

    Let's say I have my MK2.
I buy the 2.0 upgrade, and after 1 month I decide to sell the MK2 to buy the Studio.

If the buyer doesn't want to pay for the 2.0 upgrade, and buys my Maschine with 1.8, what happens with my 2.0 license? Will I be able to buy the Studio with a discount ?

there are no discounts for the Studio.

and why should the buyer pay for the upgrade? your pricing should reflect that it is MK2 and Maschine 2 or MK2 and 1.8.2.

I'm just saying... there are buyers who look for the cheapest.
And if it reflects MK2 + 1.8.2... that means I get stuck with one 2.0 license

If you are positive that you are getting the Studio that soon don't waste the $100, just wait it out.

If you can't wait specifically state that you selling the MK2 1.8 and 2.0 license in your ad.

Haha.. Those buyers should have their butt kicked and told to go for something else.. an Akai maybe? ;)

    Just kidding..

In my experience when these kind of personal queries bumps in my head ( i've been in the same situation as you more times than i can count) it's so much better to wait.. buying new stuff and selling it later is always a loss of money.. it's better to buy stuff you eventually won't have to sell in a long time..

Getting the Maschine Studio will make the grin on your face stick so much longer, i'm sure

I'll stick with my MK2 and buy the 2.0. The update will raise my Maschine's value when I'll sell it. I am not planning to buy the studio in amonth, it was an example.

    Thanks guys.

    It won't. All new Maschine's get 2.0.

Right, but it will raise the value of HIS Maschine, which he would have to sell cheaper without the 2.0 upgrade.

Also, only new Maschines get 2.0 for free, so there won't be "used" versions of these available for a while.

You're right. Probably won't increase it by $100 though...but hey, it's all about the now.

ya Ive sold a few of my old Maschine's I would say you can raise your asking price but don't expect people to want to buy it for that price.

The 2.0 upgrade will be tied to the 1.8 but not the reverse. Besides, you can sell both licenses together and the buyer can register 1x first and then register 2.0 right after. Just be sure to have support remove both registrations prior to selling. The studio purchase is a full separate license.

You need a Maschine 1x license in order to use the 2.0 upgrade. However, you don 't need a 2.0 license to run 1.8 so once a license for 1.8 is removed from your account you can sell it separate. In this scenario the 2.0 upgrade registration would be removed from your account at the same time and would be useless but if you wanted to you could keep the now useless license.

What are you saying? That people who already have the MKII have no reason to buy Maschine Studio? Because that sounds like that's what you're saying.

I think people feel that they will make "better" beats with a bigger controller lol. Or maybe it's those small screens idk. If you have an MK2 just sell your current computer monitor on eBay, and pickup a bigger one on black friday/cyber monday. That way for about 50-100 bucks you can rock out a 27" screen, fuk those 2 little like 4 inchers lol!!!!

the update is for the software - so if you run version 2 of the software, you can choose which Controller you want to use with it.
