Just installed Maschine 2.0 but two problems... first there are no Massive sounds, they are greyed out on the directory on my iMac but they do appear on the menu on machine studio, and secondly, Kontact sounds do not appear anywhere, should they have been installed also ? I get the famous message ... 'could not find plug-ins'.

There are no problems playing factory sounds.

    Thanks for help

This O.P.'s question is really valid, and is worthy of a response, I think. Imagine how helpful a thorough answer to that question would be to Newbies such as ourselves.

Installation woes seems to be a really huge problem for a number of us new on the block. For example, on my 4GB, Quad Core, 2.3GHz i7 equipped PC, the newly installed software seems to behave strangely:
Maschine 2.1.2 software for my MK1 hardware yields a huge list of Maschine 2.0 Manuals -- for each of the various Maschine hardware devices NI sells.

    1. Why are all of those versions of the manual in my installation -- and worse, why won't Maschine open any documentation from the HELP menu?

    2. Why won't the components that came with Komplete 8 Selection open any documentation from the HELP menu?

    3. I've reported the matter with Customer Support yesterday. I can't find any NI Product FAQ on any of the products I have, that clearly and easily can be found -- which guides Mac users and PC users such as myself, in understanding FILE DIRECTORY HIERARCHY for their fine products; and search results on the issue don't yield any easy to find link to a pertinent FAQ.

    4. Actually, it'd be great if this needed FILE HIERARCHY info and how to get NI software products to locate "lost directories" appeared in each of the major Forums here as a STICKY post -- for each of the major products NI offers.

When I had successfully registered a DJ product a couple years' back, under a different username -- I never ever got the link Emailed to me, for the Free Traktor Pro 2 that was promised me by Customer Support -- upon Tracktor Pro 2's introduction into the marketplace, so I left NI alone hoping they'd improve when they opened up an office here in the USA (perhaps they finally did, I don't know...)

So here I am, giving NI another shot. I hope this turns out well...

NI Customer Support has much improved in the US, compared to interactions I've had from some 4 years back.

    To bump up this thread....

I also get a lot of "could not find plugins" and below is my issue ( I posted this in the Maschine Area forum as well)....

I just recently got Maschine Mikro MK2 and also have had Komplete 9 for a few months. During the installation process of Maschine's 2.0 softaware, I mistakingly installed the Komplete Selection (which I've learned isn't necessary as I do have Komplete 9). Currently, I am unable to view/access any of the Komplete 9 synths, Battery 4, Kontakt etc....to show up in the 2.0 browser to select and use them.
I went into Control Panel (Win8 x 64) to uninstall Komplete Selection, but it doesn't show up as that name......it shows as (going by memory as I'm not at my DAW) NI Maschine Factory Library 2.0.....I didn't want to uninstall that as there might be other sounds not included in K9 and also wanted to confirm this is the correct way to uninstall.
Would anyone know the correct way to uninstall this and I also want to use whatever content that's included in the 2.0 software that's NOT in K9.
Anone help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Since forum support is also severely lacking in here, I actually got very good help in another (non-NI forum).

OP, your issue looks to be the same as mine.........I had to go into Preferences (in Maschine 2.0) and add the path to where all my Komplete 9 VST's resided......re-scan and all is working as it is supposed to. I don't get that "could not find plugin" error anymore and I am also able to see all the K9 synths.
