No need for a double post...

The FS1.0 and FS1.1 records timecode starts about 5 secs after you drop the needle.

The FS1.5- and FS2.0 records start imidiatly when you drop the needle in the beginning or maybe even a bit before.
So you set's set to more then 25 secons when the song starts cuz they write the timecode in the groves.

    I hope that makes sense...

Thanks for the reply, I kinda understand, so if i set the lead in time later could that solve the problem when you pick the needle up from the middle and it plays from where it left off when you put it back down?

    no that doesn't effect this...

the setting of the lead-in time (from manual!):

It is possible to use legacy TRAKTOR FS1.x version Timecode records
with TRAKTOR FS 2. However, these records have a different design in
the offset of Timecode, so to use these records with TRAKTOR FS 2, you
must select the FS1 option in the "Timecode" tab of the Setup dialog.
An additional slider allows you to customize the lead-in time if the initial
part of your record starts to be worn out.

nope... that is a bug in the programme that NI are apparently working on.

The lead in time is only if you use FS1/FS1.5 records. The early records had a 5 sec lead-in and the later ones had a 25 sec lead-in to help the calibration process. So you would need to adjust it to suit the records you have. This is also useful if the record is worn as the cue point as you can move the cue point on the record by increasing the lead-in time. Something that is missing for the FS2 records... (or am I missing somthing?)

If you are using the records that came with your FS2 package then you have no need to adjust that setting as it will have no impact on TFS2.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you for clearing that up for me :thumb: I thought the lead in time had no affect with FS2,

I was told yesterday by NI that i need to adjust the threshold and the lead-in time to fix the needle problem, Not that it was a bug in the programme.

what problem do you have exactly?
if you place the needle back on the vinyl that it plays for a second the sound from where you picked it up and then starts where it actually is?

this has sth to do with the buffer...
