I have the latest version of Maschine running on a Windows-based computer. I have the Maschine Mikro controller, the S88 keyboard controller, and I also have the latest version of Pro Tools.

When I launch the Maschine program and I click on the second icon in the library section to look at "All Groups", the second available choice is "loops". When I select loops, the first item below in the list is "Bongo 01 (80)". If I click on this item, a beat plays once and then stops. What is this I am hearing, and if I like what I am hearing, can I put this into one of my tracks in Pro Tools, or can I get what I am hearing in Maschine to become a loop I can stick into an original song that will ultimately exist in Pro Tools?

I know how to put the Maschine controller in Midi mode, and I can get Pro Tools to capture midi events from the Maschine Mikro controller if I load a drum kit, but I don't know what sort of element this "Bongo 01 (80)" is and what the possibilities are for using it.

    Thanks in advance for explaining.....

what you are hearing is a single Bongo Sample. If you load it into the sampler, you can then use it in a pattern and create your own custom pattern/loop. then drag the audio from the pattern into a track in Protools!
