ensoniq asr, it's very subtle but has a warmness I could never get from other samplers

Ehm, why do you guys mention drum machines? What do you guys expect NI to emulate? I can understand the request for the ASR sound, but what is so special about the sound of the Yamaha samplers? :S

maybe they want the virtual drum maschine inside? I was wondering the same thing. I think if NI puts in a drum synth, it would take care of most of the drum machine requests.

I agree about the drum synth.

Otherwise I'd encourage the developers to not live in the past. Develop forward thinking features and sounds.

    nothing of this.

i want "the future of sound" not this archaic go back to somewere.
this is waste of coding-ressources and i hope NI dont let blackmail by u mpc-dshiadis.

with 1.5 there is more than enough vintage. i hope the turn the ship now direction forward not back.
(but they could implement some better, warmer filters and retrigger-envelops)

If I had to choose another, I think it would be an S950 emu.

As That Petrol Emotion once sang: 'Gotta go back to go forwards..' :)

back in the days where drum maschines and samplers were widely used, they always strived for cleaner and pristine sound, we have clean and pristine, we need dirt vintage

i want a custom dmx mode,

the ir waves and be loaded onto a eeprom like goldbaby has done with his kits in order to get a great emulation of the dmx.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT1_aaTwWCA&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube- Creating a custom EPROM for the DMX[/ame]

this method i am fairly sure would work with the drum machines suggested also.

if you not into vintage modes, then please no need to comment here,

Don't really want another vintage mode but they should fix the MPC60 to be more accurate. Something is missing there.

If they do do another I think the ASR would be nice but they have to be sure to do it at 29k sample rate. That is where it gets its warmth.

Would really rather have improved filters.

EPS! With all sample rates choosable, i think asr is unneccessary you can't tell me you honestly hear a difference on that :D give me more lofi

we got lofi, asr gives a different "bump" to drum samples man. If you've ever used one you'd know what it is, maybe it's just the output of the sampler itself, it's not a "color" so to speak, just a feel it puts on drum. Mpc and Asr next to each other, there is a difference, honestly.

i've owned one and i don't think the difference is significant let alone would be an enhancement when it's emulated since you can never get quite there but i see what you mean, i think the eps lofi is the second most unique lofi after the sp. but if we can get both i'm all for it :D

hmmmm well i dont really feel another emulation is needed but if I were to get another mode it would be something a bit more zanny like a commodore sid chip emulator.

Other forums report that the SP emulation is not accurate either. From my ears they both (SP and MPC 60) sound terrible and useless for my needs.

+1 for improving what is already there.
+1 for VST support so I can use high end plug-ins that captures vintage amps, converters, filters, eq's, etc. (yes, I know I can do this afterwards in my DAW).

What other forums? And how accurate do people expect this to be when the real SP's don't all sound exactly the same? I know what my SP sounds like and I know that the SP emulation is very close.
