what sort of midi does Traktor support..?

I'm trying to set a rotary encoder to scroll up/down my music once a folder is open. It works fine however it stops at the 0 and 9 points and doesn't go any further (therefore isn't endless).

How do I set an endless encoder to be just that endless?

I have a Kenton Killamix (http://www.kentonuk.com/kenton/killamix/killamix.html) although I imagine my problem isn't controller specific.

I asked Kenton about the endless rotaries and got the following response::

The endless encoder sends controller messages which by definition have a
minimum and maximum value (between 0 and 127)

However some pieces of software implement "Incremental" controllers - in
other words the controller just says up or down (so then the knobs
    really can be endless).

However Incremental controllers are not defined in the MIDI
specification, hence different companies implement them in different
ways (if at all) - the Killamix Mini supports several of the common ones
    (see the manual).

If Traktor supports any of those types, then set Traktor to use
"Incremental" controllers and enable that mode in the Killamix Mini.

If it uses another system, we may be able to add it to the already
supported methods - I suspect that it might use the Ableton type if it
    does at all.

Therefore, how do I find out what sort of midi Traktor supports?

There are at least "direct" and "relative" interaction modes for both faders and encoders. Perhaps someone can give you a better idea on how they are supposed to work.

Of course, the "mess around in the controller manager and see what happens"-option is always available also :)

Have you tried changing the Encoder mode (Enc-Mode)?

You should have the choice of value between 3Fh/41h and 7Fh/01h

Also don't forget to check the encoder sensitivity and acceleration. If they are set incorrectly, it might just seems like it goes directly to the end of the list.

Nope. Tried it all myself. A midi translator may be the way to go, but I haven't tried yet.

the killamix unit looks like an awesome way to control the effects section of traktor
however it is too expensive too my taste.

plz tell us if you get it working

its an amazing controller for effects and looping I've had it for well over a year now and I'm really happy with it. The only thing I can't get it to do browse/scan through the music using either a rotary OR the joystick. Other than that its great.
