wasn't sure which area to post this...

    Hi ,

I bought a new macbook pro but seems my eyes are super sensitive to the glossy screens so i'm having to send it back. I never had a problem with the old macbooks with matte screens and hence have traktor, maschine etc installed on my old mac, and on my new (soon to be sent back) one.

I read somewhere that you can only have maschine/traktor installed on two computers at once, and i'm worried that if after i've sent this new laptop back and bought a new one (ie my third computer) i'll be trying to install it on my then 3rd computer and it won't let me.

I have to remove all personal data from my new macbook before sending it back, will this be enough or do i have to do anything else to enable me to install traktor and maschine on my (soon to be bought hopefully) laptop?

    any advice welcome, thank you

I would suggest you uninstall all NI software from the laptop you are sending back.

Regarding installing on your new computer, there isn't anything you can do about multiple installations. NI used to have a process where users could manage their registrations -- i.e. delete old ones they no longer needed. NI did away with this.

You should probably be fine in installing on a new computer and authorizing it. I think NI now only monitors registrations to see if someone is abusing the license -- e.g. they have activated a product 10 times.

If you can't activate, you will have to contact NI Registration Support and explain your situation

Thanks Martin, I did a complete erase of everything on the hard drive but didn't "uninstall it" as such, hopefully it won't make a difference...

    many thanks
