on the packaging, it says traktor audio 10, but can you use lower versions as well and if so, what audio box numbers can be used to fully use this software?
    thanks

    Audio 4 (timecode interface 2 in/2 out)
Audio 6 (same as A4 just newer model)
    Audio 8 (Timecode 4 in/4 out)
Audio 10 (Same as A8 just newer model)

so if i get the audio 8 box and use it with the f1, can i use time coded records right when i get it or do i have to buy the scratch software as well...i understand that the audio boxes will work now, what i'm worried about is using the box and STILL needing to get more software so i can use the time coded records.
sorry for all the posts, but this is getting confusing and frustrating concerning the fact i just can't plug the tables into the audio 8 box without buying MORE software.
so, without getting the scratch software, i can only use the remix feature in traktor without being able to actually mix using time coded records until i get the scratch software to use with 2.5...right?

There are Two Main Versions of Traktor

-Traktor Pro (Just software not capable of reading time codes

-Traktor Scratch Pro (Able to read timecode input and control playback with timecode)

To use time code you need the Scratch version of Traktor Pro.

    Here is three options.

1.) If you only have F1, you can control Traktor Pro, but only thru laptop speakers.

2.) If you have F1, Traktor Pro (Not Scratch) and audio interface (A8) you can control software with F1 and able to route the different channels to an external mixer (where you can cue)

3.) If you have F1, Tracktor SCRATCH Pro, and audio interface, you can control Traktor with F1 and time codes. All routed to an external mixer. (This will require you to purchase the timecode upgrade kit priced at €99, found here Click Me !)

PS. The Audio 2, 4 & 6 can only route 2 decks, for 4 decks (all switchable to remix decks) get the A8 or A10.

I hope this answers your query.
