What will happen if I open a Reaktor VST(i) in my DAW project with a badly built ENS?

I am asking this because in Reaper, I get frequent crashes with a certain ENS from the user lib. I must still identify which ENS is to blame here.
Those crashes don't happen with projects containing exclusively factory ENS.

Will Reaper (or also other DAWs) just crash, or will I get away with an error message? What are your experiences?

Anyway, how do you deem Reaper as a DAW for Reaktor VSTi or VST fx?
Are Cubase or Ableton more stable with Reaktor?
I ask that because Reaktor is by far my most used plugin.

Are you sure it's crashing not just CPU overload? Do Reaktor VST crash at start up or in the middle while using it? Do Reaper crash as well or just the VST instance?
I don't think I've ever crashed while using and ensemble. Only a few crash at start up. I don't use Reaper much nowadays but a few years ago it was as stable as Live 9 and Logic Pro 9 that I'm using now (OSX).

    Does it crash Reaktor standalone?

    Zootook,
CPU is underwhelmed by even larger projects. I have a Sandybridge DAW here.
The Reaktor crashes occur randomly, sometimes after 2 minutes, at other times after 20 mins.
The whole Reaper crashes, followed by the likes of this:

    Problemereignisname: APPCRASH
    Anwendungsname: reaper.exe
    Anwendungsversion: 4.5.8.0
    Anwendungszeitstempel: 52b0bba8
    Fehlermodulname: Reaktor5.dll
    Fehlermodulversion: 5.9.0.725

    Betriebsystemversion: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

    Kymeia,
I almost never use Reaktor standalone. So, can't tell much about it. And I even don't know yet which Ens in particular is to blame for the Reaper crashing. The search will prove difficult as I use hundreds of different Ens (well...at least dozens).

All you need to do is open your project that is crashing - then close it and open Reaktor standalone and check the recent menu - that should say what ensembles it just loaded. The try and load them and see if any crash it

Happily, the problem is now clearly identified:

Steinberg PADSHOP-PRO (latest version) is the definite offender here. This plugin obviously doesn't go along well with Reaper. Was written predominantly for VST3 Cubase host, it seems.
Turned out that when it is absent from my Reaper projects, no crashes at all occur. (Reaper in itself is very stable.)

The funny thing was only that the Appcrash log said "Fault module name=Reaktor5.dll".
As I later learned, the plugin last in the fx chain is often in the crash report claimed to be the culprit, although the actual cause of the crashing may well be somewhere upstream in the signal path. So it was in my Reaper project that we are talking about.

Thus I'm glad that Reaktor is "innocent" and very reliable since ver.5.9 is out.
It is - and will yet be - by far my most used plugin.
