If we can't record something again and really have to work with a track that has ome clipping, what's a good tool for declipping it?

I see a lot of forum talk about ReLife, but it seems to be Windows only. I also see talk of SA Perfect Declipper, but for Mac it seems you have to buy Stereo Tool to get that. And they both seem very old - maybe there are better things available now? Are there either some free plugins or something not too expensive, since it's not often I'll be needing to do this. But if it has other good tools like being able to clean up old 78 gramophone records, then I might be able to find a little more budget for it, but not much really.

I use Reaper on a Mac.

    Thanks!

I use izotope RX for fixing such issues. The elements version when on sale might be worth a look. I think the rx7 new intro video on youtube actually shows fixing guitar clipping

What's about a simple compressor limiter?
