    Am I the only one waiting on NI to release updates to 75% of their products so that they'll work in Pro Tools on Leopard?

    Is there any news from the folks at the NI booth at AES?

    I guess now I know why the Komplete Your DAW bundle was on sale for cheap...

    You're NOT the only one!

    There are MANY of us users on Digidesigns User Conference, DUC waiting for support. I've posted a few threads complaining, but I think it's a problem Digi AND N.I. need to work out Fast. I use MANY 3rd party plug-ins in Pro Tools and NI is the only one that doesn't allow me to use much of their software yet.

    Historically, I believe this is common with NI. I love their stuff to no end, but slow to update... sigh.

    Please let me know if you hear any good word! OK? thanks.

    Bump.

    Anyone? Anything? Should I take this complete lack of response to mean that this is a dead issue and I should contact the BBB?

    Hi there,
    Which products/specific functions are not working/an issue for you? I'm a new Komplete 5 user but haven't run into an unusable plug-in yet, although I've scratched the surface of just a couple (Absynth, Battery come to mind).

    Battery = unusable
    Elektrik Piano = unusable
    FM8 = unusable
    Kontakt = mostly unusable
    Akoustik Piano = mostly unusable

    The "mostly unusable" ones mean I can run them for a short time if I select "1 CPU" from Pro Tools' playback engine. After a few minutes of use though, they start to crap out. The other ones immediately cause problems as soon as their inserted.

    According to NI, Absynth should be working - I don't use that one but on this page:

    http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=leopard&L=1&nitr=1&l_src=support&tsr_id=59574

    it's listed as one of the few VI's that *should* work with PT on Leopard.

    Did I mention that list/announcement is now over 4 months old? 4 months, not a single peep from NI. They don't respond to emails, they don't respond to forum posts....

    Hi,

    indeed, the statement on the mentioned site reflects the current status of development.

    As you find at the top of the Kontakt forum, we have announced Kontakt 3.5 to be made public within the next two months. This version brings some major performance improvements and fully RTAS compatibility for the current ProTools versions. The Kontakt release will also enable us to make the other sample based RTAS plugins compatible with ProTools again.

    Hi everybody,

    as a temporary workaround I recommend to check the Pro Tools Playback Engine setting "Ignore Errors during Record and Playback".

    This may help for the following products:

    FM8
    Elektrik Piano 1.5
    Massive
    Kore 2

    We are still working on new RTAS versions for all affected products.

    Best regards

    Philipp

    So, it's December.

    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72114&highlight=leopard+pro+tools+december

    Any news on Kontakt and PT Leopard support? And Battery? FM8? Akoustik Piano? It is December 2008.

    Btw, any of the NI stand-alones do not work quite properly for me in Leopard. Please see this: http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=75044

    It is December 2008 and Leopard has been out for over a year; even the notoriously delayed PT Leopard support has been there for six months. Come on.

    Yet all forgiven in case your December (2008) updates for all the mentioned support PT 8. :lol:
