Got any free plugins you use? what are they?
Alter Ego (vocal synth) https://www.plogue.com/products/alterego/
Camel Crusher (distortion / fx) http://www.audiopluginsforfree.com/camelcrusher/
Voxengo SPAN (spectrum analyzer) http://www.voxengo.com/product/span/
Xfer Records OTT (multi-band compressor) https://www.kvraudio.com/product/ott-by-xfer-records
Magical 8-Bit (8-bit chiptune synth) http://ymck.net/en/download/magical8bitplug/index.html
u-he Tyrell N6 (analogue synth) https://www.u-he.com/cms/tyrelln6
a list of guitar plugins
my faves are OBXD, now made by DiscoDSP (but their website has been down for a couple months now), and PG8X (a Roland JX-8P emulation), and, of course, Reaktor 6 Player (cuz of the Blocks!)
I love the melda free fx bundle and tdr nova eq and other stuff from tokyo dawn labs
Well, it is pretty simple, but I love the FreeG fader plugin!
Also the PSP PianoVerb freebie is nice. Get it by creating an account there.
"PSP PianoVerb1 is available for free for all who have an active account at our user area. To get access to the plug-in and your unique authorization details simply open (or log-in to) your account at our user area. Enjoy!"
I already mentioned them in the MABB thread, but lets list my top free plugins again:
-TAL Software: https://tal-software.com/Products
-Tokyo Dawn Labs: http://www.tokyodawn.net/tokyo-dawn-labs/
how often, in your productions would y'all say y'all use them (from texas, don't judge me)
I've not used it, but a friend at the Cantabile forum loves this. (Translate the page...)
To answer your question (which I must do, since you are the OP and thus are the lord in dominion over this thread), I really do not use the freebies much anymore. PianoVerb rarely, but I have others that do similar things.
TDR Nova.. its awesome. Use it on every session. Because its so good I will soon buy the Gentlemans edition for better control.
Another fav of mine, which I also use on basically every session:
I always use Voxengo Span, Tokyo Dawn Labs, Melda Free FX Bundle and HOFA 4U collection in all my sessions
the LEADSTER type C, from the Reaktor user library.
Synth 1 for me......
Valhalla DSP FreqEcho
Some of the free effects I use: Voxengo SPAN, Tokyo Dawn Labs plugins, Molot compressor/limiter, Bionic supa delay, Variety of sound plugins, Saturation knob, and some of the instruments: OBXD, Helm, TyrellN6 and PG8X.
I use a lot of free stuff in my music. Definitely in every song.
...just had a look - for freeware I only seem to use Voxengo's SPAN, MSED & Stereo Touch. I hope, Maschine will have equivalents for the first two some day.
A bit OT (sorry), but I just noticed this and it's almost as good as freeware, i.e. it's insane: http://www.voxengo.com/product/premium/
Oh I forgot this https://vladgsound.wordpress.com/plugins/limiter6/
an absolutely amazing mastering tool
where I said Molot compressor/limiter, I meant this one. Really great.
