    Things could be worse. How'd you like to have $3000 (US) charged against your credit card and not get product until maybe the end of March? Explanation: East West Quantum Leap is putting out a Pro update to their Platinum, Gold and Silver sample libraries that is the same cost as the original library one purchased. For example, if you purchased the Platinum library at roughly $3000 US, the upgrade is also $3000. The other version upgrades are less because their prices are also less. To get a 30% discount, you had to preorder buy end of Dec.; I believe that may have been extended to end Of Jan. 2005. Estimated shipping date is end of March, subject to change. Wanna know the heartburn of the deal? East West charges youe credit card when you place the order, not when product ships.

    Received my copy today.
    Registered Komplete Care on 12/15/2004.
    Received the shipping email on 12/30/2004.
    The attached letter to the copy stated it is written on 01/06/2005.
    No additional charge for customs, packaging or shipping!

    Ok. Ew, I like you. I think you're one of the best contributors to both this forum and the KvR forum.

    But this is a seriously messed up logic you have here!

    For one, its already been stated that we're adults, and that we don't mind swear words, and I'll stand by that.

    Secondly, I wouldn't mind a hell of a lot of stuff on a forum, it doesn't bother me. It doesn't bother me that people can have custom signatures, proclaiming alligiance to whomever they deem, and it certainly doesn't bother me if someone uses the "f" word.

    Now back to the discussion.

    I don't own the NI Komplete package, but I managed to get my Absynth 3 today after much hoohar with Digital Village.

    I'll warn anyone ordering from them - they take your money even if the item isn't in stock. I don't know if this is normal policy with all companies, but this is certainly not acceptable to me.

    They don't even let you know that its not in stock, and I only found out when I phoned up to ask why, after a week and a half of waiting (the nearest DV is only 20 miles away from my home) why I was still waiting. They had taken the money, but not delivered.

    Turns out it was out of stock - this was a few days after New Years.

    So, now I'm back at university, and the same happened again!! I had to re-order it and wait two weeks for the package.

    So I've waited a month for something that should have been with me a week after the company taking my money.

    Piss poor performance if you ask me.

    Sorry, I needed to vent.

    EW, to answer your question, I have tried LA twice, but they keep saying this is a shipping problem on Germany's end. I did finally get a response from Germany last week telling me to contact them again next week if... and then I see where others are in a similar situation. We figured out in the other forum that there most likely is a glitch in the way the foreign addresses and zip codes were printed.

    We shall see.

    After sending in my proof of purchase and the Grace-period form for the upgrade to A3, on 12/15/04 I received a nice note saying my credit card would be billed in the next couple of days, and I could expect to receive A3 in about 18 days. 18 days passed and no delivery, so I wrote again. I think that time was when I noticed the totally screwed address format, and changed it, hoping that might help.

    I got no reply to that note, so I wrote again last week. Again, no reply, no delivery. What kind of customer service is it when repeated inquiries go unanswered? Oh that’s easy. NONE. This unfortunate episode is my first interaction with NI, and trust me, will be my last.

    When I finally splurged and bought Absynth 2 because everybody raved about it, I was disappointed first because it didn’t play well with my system (sticking notes, flakey midi interface), second, because Cameleon 5000, Xphraze, and X3ta+, Albino, Rhino 1 & 2 among others are every bit as wonderful as this over-hyped, over priced disappointment. Besides, I have no performance issues with the other synths.

    Maybe by the time I get my upgrade (if ever), all the bugs mentioned here will be swatted, but I suspect the delay isn’t in consideration of defects, just in a totally screwed up shipping and/or serevice department.

    This is ridiculous. I have been waiting for my copy of Absynth-3 for almost 2 months now, after registering the Complete Care package online back in December -04. I was emailed by NI, that my copy of A3 was shipped out January 6th after emails i sent on the status of delay. Its now the 26th of Jan, and i still dont have it. I have again emailed NI on this 3 days ago, and have no replys from them yet. Clearly there is a problem for some of us, and i hope that someone reads this and fixes it. All this is doing is pissing off those who have already paid you for services you promised to deliver, and then you scare away potential customers from ever ordering anything from you. I ask you- If you were a new customer, would you order a product from a company who had a track record like this? Get this fixed NI, and send me my copy of Absynth-3. Im tired of being nice about it.

    Yesterday I contacted the store where I bought Komplete Care and they promptly contacted their rep from NI here in the states. Apparently other customers had complained during the past week as well. I'm in California, USA.

    This rep responded back to the store (via email), that he was aware of these serious delays - for several users - because of implementing their "auto ship." He invited me to give him a call directly if it didn't arrive by next week. He even said I could call sooner, and I plan to do so tomorrow.

    BTW, with all good intentions on his part, this marks the third week that someone has said, either in this forum, by phone, or through email, to "let them know if it doesn't come by next week..."

    Let who know? Sales? They don't respond. I'm on my third "next week" now.

    While I'm glad to finally make some headway on this, it raises a lot of questions, not the least of which is why some of us were told it shipped to us on Jan 6 or 7, but have yet to receive anything.

    Were they shipped and returned because of address issues? Did they really ever get mailed out at all? Did somebody forget to put stamps on them? An explanation is certainly warranted. At this point, it's less about getting Absynth, and more about addressing my questions openly and honestly.

    How long has it been since Florian addressed this issue? Long enough to have received it by now.

    I'll see what I can find out.

    Absynth 3 Grace Period Upgrade

    It seems that most of you posting here awaiting delivery of A3 are involved with the komplete care deal. I'm waiting on the Grace Period upgrade from A2 to A3, so I started a new thread .

    Yeah, generated response, but with a random bug generator in how it formats your address info. Oh freakin' great! They left off the leading zero on my zip (I'm in the US), and it was supposedly shipped on Jan 17, 2005. Still no Ab3 disk!
