    Hi,
I load Maschine as VST in Ableton, and it's fysical Midi Output does not send any midi to my hardware.
If I load exactly the same project in Maschine opened standalone, it works perfectly.

Can't Maschine Midi Out be used when loaded as plugin ?
(I can assigne Midi Out, but the note's are not sent out at all)

you need to make sure that Ableton Live is sending MIDI Out. check the Ableton Preferences.

in Ableton all my Midi is enabled to Track/Sync/Remote

    makes no difference

anyway, I am not trying to play hardware from ableton through my maschine, I am just playing a pattern in maschine via it's midi out, while Maschine is loaded as a VST (so I doubt if any Ableton settings matter at all)

Ìf I open Maschine with exactly the same project in standalone, it plays my hardware...open the project in maschine as VST and it doesn't output the midi

Has anyone ever used Maschine like this : drive hardware connected to it's midi out with a pattern coming from maschine itself, with maschine loaded as VST in a DAW ?

I did not find anyone so far and no movies on youtube wether this can actually work.
Only possibility is is to open maschine as standalone and sync it to ableton and that works fine, but I want to run Maschine as VST in a DAW and still be able to sequence my hardware via Maschine Patterns

Only NATIVE INSTRUMENT KORE can do that:
All others(CUBASE REAPER LOGIC ABLETON STUDIO ONE SAMPLITUDE ETC) can only sound one per instance:lol:

    Everyone here knows this.:D
But no one dares to say it:cool:

you can do that ... you have to understand what sowari said :)
i've asked it in an other thread and it took me a long time to understand the answer...
you have to activate maschine midi out controller out and open a midi track routed to the midi out controller that's it

I second _ceone on that... no problem sequencing external gear using Maschine's physical MIDI out when loaded as a VST in a DAW.
The key is to really make sure that Maschine's MIDI out is ENABLED within the MIDI settings of your DAW...

ok, I attached some screenshots in which I show

    1) Maschine Midi Out is enabled in Ableton
    2) Maschine is loaded as VST in Ableton
    3) Maschine Pad 1 is routed to Midi OUT

I hope someone can see what I'm doing wrong because I don't see it and it is not working : my hardware receives no midi data.

You don't have any MIDI to on the Maschine track...

If I load Maschine, I do not get the 'Midi to' in my track, only the 'audio to' ...

    Try this:

    -Create another blank MIDI track
    -Set 'MIDI From' to Maschine
-Set 'MIDI To' to your MIDI output

"your Midi Output "would be Maschine itself then ?
note that I am trybing to send the note data that is inside Maschine (Pattern) straight to Maschine's Midi Output, I am not trying to send Maschine notes via Ableton to USB Midibox...

I have the impression no-one understands exactly what I want...

if I would create an extra Midi track, this would mean I send the Midi from Maschine to this Midi Track (so Basically into Ableton) and then send this MIdi to the Midi Output I selected.
Why would I do so if Maschine has a fysical Midi Out where it can send it's midi info to ?

If you've recorded your patterns into a Group with a Maschine Kit (which is what I suspect), this is only possible with fancy work arounds.

    See also:

    The Big MIDI Out Workaround

Please make Maschine's sequencer give out midi notes to the host.

Should you decide to make use of such techniques, this may be of some help:

I'm making a big update to the factory kits. I need your help.

no I did not record into Maschine with a Maschine kit !

    let me rephrase again :

I have a Maschine Group that drives a hardware synth via Midi Out of the Maschine.

If I start Maschine standalone, this group outputs MIDI to my synth and all works fine.

If I open the same Group when Maschine is loaded as VST, nothing comes out of the fysical Midi port of Maschine (settings in the group are 100% correct as it is exactly the same as opened in standalone, Midi Out's from Ableton are all enabled).

I repeat : I am not trying to play a Maschine Pattern to my DAW but play it via Maschine's Midi Out.

I guess everyone here just uses software and no hardware because none of the roposed 'solutions' solve my problem

On your empty MIDI track, you have a MIDI from option. Select the MIDI track that Maschine's on for that.

    ok, see attachments :

    1) my TR 909 Group that sends Midi to Output of Maschine on Midi Channel 10 (working ok in standalone mode)

    2) Ableton with extra MIDI track : Midi IN routed from Maschine, Output Routed to Maschine

result : pattern notes are not at all sent to Midi Out of Maschine

If you trying my suggestion, you have it wrong - you need to change 'MIDI From' of track 3 to track 2.
