Where are the WaveSets?

A few things about wavesets in Reaktor 5 are baffling me.

    (1) The manual says (page 345) that "The library contains many WaveSet examples." Where are they? I searched my entire c: drive for any file with "waveset" in it and didn't find any. I also browsed the Library folder in my Reaktor Program directory, and came up empty-handed.

    (2) Where, on a harddrive, are the individual .wav files stored that make up a .map file which has been saved with its sample data? E.g., the "WSM1.map" used in various Reaktor ensembles contains a number of individual .wav files (most are listed as being in a folder "C:WaveSet . . .", which doesn't exist on my hard drive.) I realize the addresses listed in maps may be those on the original author's computer, not mine. But for my computer to access and play an individual .wav file in one of those maps, that .wav file has to be SOMEWHERE on my hard drive! When I try to save individual .wav files from a map such as WSM1.map, I get an error message that the source file can't be found. (Those source files ARE somewhere, though -- the ensembles using WSM1.map work and the individual samples are all there, somewhere, hiding on my PC.)

    (3) When I inserted "Sample Osc" from the Building Blocks macros, it came with a file "PianoFFD#3.wav" already loaded into its map editor. Again, a search for PianoFFD#3.wav on my C: drive came up empty. However, the sample loads and plays correctly in instruments using the Sample Osc module.

So, it appears there are various .map and .wav files lurking in various Reaktor ensembles and even individual modules. At a basic level, what I'm trying to figure out is where those actual .wav and .map files reside. (I even did a search through every single .wav file on my C: drive to see if any of the ones I'm talking about showed up. None did.) I'm curious to know what all I already have in terms of samples and maps, what other samples and maps are in Reaktor that I haven't found yet, and how I can save individual samples from those maps into different maps or folders for later use.

I would say everything is hidden in the *.ens files. You will not find those map or wav files on your hard drive unless you go into the map editor and save them manually. This however should work.
You can select a single wav in a map (in the map editor) and select "Save" under "Edit Sample List". The default name for saving the file is the one it was on the author's computer, so you get an error message if you do not change the filename for saving. Maybe that was the problem?

You can also easily save map files and use them in other ensembles, e.g. take the pod.map from Limelite, put it into Krypt and enjoy :)

Thanks, Marc. This will save me spending more time pointlessly looking for those files. It would have been nice if NI had simply included a directory of maps and .wavs for us in the program library, especially novices like me. I'm just getting going designing some samplers of my own, so I've been trying to use the samples included with NI at first as I learn, on the theory those samples should work OK. I'll add samples of my own once I know I'm building the samplers correctly and what to expect from the various modules.

P.S. -- You were right about the file name problem for saving the individual .wav files. How embarrassing that my first post ended up including what amounted to a Windows question!
