Apologies if this has allready been answered somewhere else (but the term "pitch bend" didn´t really narrow down the search...).

I´m now playing around with the wonderful and charming Pro-53, via Kore 1. For a part in a new song, I want the sound Super Sync Lead to dive one octave in the end, using the pitch bend on my midi keyboard. But I can´t figure out where to change the bend amount from the default two semitones to a whole octave, netiher in Kore nor the Pro-53 itself.

    Anybody?

You can't. You couldn't change the bend range on a Prophet-5 either.

So it´s THAT true to the original? I have to find a more modern approach to the sound I need for the song, then. :-D

    Thanks for quick response, EW!

Yep, a bit anoying. But back in 1978 they probably didn´t know better... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sequential_Circuits_Prophet_5)

Any good suggestions for replacement sound, with pitch bend range of choice? I have the whole Komplete 4 library to choose from.

By the way: Congrats on publishing your post number 1.000, Bob! :-D

Well you want a synth with Osc Sync, Do you have massive?

Otherwise I am pretty sure Absynth would do you.

Or have a look in the Reaktor user lib for a prophet type synth, if anyone has done one it will have a similar patch.

Yes 1000 posts, I need to get a life!

    Cheers

With Komplete we´re drowning in sounds! Thank God for Kore... I will have Massive after I get Komplete 5. Just waiting for my local shop to get it, so I can support them economically (and go there for advice with a clear conscience). :)

Thats a good point, do a search for Sync or Hard Sync in Kore and see what you get

    Hi,

I was just looking at doing the patch in Absynth but cannot see osc sync so I must have been confused.

We sort of need 3 Osc really as we need a saw and square for the synced osc and a tri for the controlling osc.

    *shameless plug follows*

Why not use Sync 3 then?

    *end shameless plug*

Thanks, guys! The Sync 3 (I think the sound was called Fairy Tail, or something) gave good results, with a little less reverb and some drive. I´ll nail it with some tweaking!

I can´t, however, deny the fact that Reaktor seemed a bit frightening the first minute or so... I´m used to playing, not making synths. Actually, I´m a guitarist! :-D

    Glad you got it sorted.

I'm a guitarist also and so is Ew, he also knows quite a lot about synths though while I am still learning, but its fun to learn.

    Cheers
