    Hi guys.

Im in the market for a new mixer, I have decieded to ditch my cdj's and go for a midi mixer to use with Traktor Pro.

I have always used Pioneer & am very tempted by the new DJM 2000,

However I am wanting full mapping on one mixer (so I dont want to buy any extra controllers) The reason for this is simplicity.

Has anyone done the mapping for a 2000 & if so is it as good as a XONE 4D?

    Xone:4D

I have not done the DJM 2000, however, I had a rough time making the same decision you are faced with now, and although I was originally leaning toward the DJM 2000, I went with the Xone:4D.

I am grateful I did so. As you know, the Xone is Traktor Certified. Although I had no prior experience with Midi Mapping in Traktor, I figured it out, and love the decision. The soundcard in the Xone is incredible and everything runs flawlessly. I am using 4 CDJ 2000s to control my 4 Traktor decks, and the Xone controls all of the effects and, of course, the audio mixing. I just liked having each of decks broken out with its own control unit.

You could have the Xone control everything, as it has tons of knobs, buttons and sliders. In order to do that with the DJM, you'd have to scroll pages and that would defeat the purpose of simplicity, in my opinion.

Compared to the Allen and heaths pioneer mixers sound and feel like toys! And come with a price tag that includes a big number of dollars dedicated to paying for hype!

    4D all the way

Go for the 4D if you want to use it with traktor alone!

( this comes from one that has a djm2k  )
