Which synth does what best, in your opinion?

To clarify on the title, which plugin do you often find yourself using to create lead sounds, or pads, or bass and so on.

NI sometimes design synths with a specific use in mind but overall they seem to market plugins with versatility in mind, I however do find myself drifting towards the same plugins for the same jobs in each project. I always thought I'd be using Absynth for pads before I purchased Komplete but I find FM8 really fills out the mid section and sus chords just sound that bit more dreamy. Again I was hyped to use Monark for bass because of the original synth it's based on but I keep ending up digging out something from the reaktor library like lazerbass and enjoying that more for ''fatness''.

I'm curious to know what other producers use for which jobs, in case I might be missing out on some great tones.
