After using 1.8 I am thinking about it.... Only thing is after this what about 2.0 will they have something new.... I am sure they are working on it now as we speak or maybe they are celebrating the 1.8 launch. I am leaning toward waiting only because I want a swivel screen lmao if they would have added it to this one I definitely would have upgraded. I think the price added by getting the stand prolly would have been cheaper to just do the swivel screen.

I'd love to get one, but since it's not too much of a different controller and the price ,at best I will get one used in the future.

Definitely going to upgrade to a full size MkII Maschine.

I'd held off getting a MkI for a long long time as wasn't sure about spending that sort of money on something I wasn't sure about and how i'd get on with it (coming from ableton live).

When the prices on the MkI and Mikro1 were slashed I grabbed a MIkro for £150! At that price it was worth a gamble.

And I have to say i've been loving maschine so far.

I'll definitely be getting a full size MkII and will probably keep my Mikro as a second controller, maybe a backup or one for gigging when I need to keep things small.

Can also see me boosting up my arsenal with Komplete but might wait a little while to see if Komplete 9 appears.
Got a funny feeling we might get a launch on 1st Oct with the new models for some reason

I have an mkii on pre-order.... can't wait. had a mki and I sold it as soon as I caught draft of the mkii. I have to sit out on the sidelines for a bit which sucks especially since 1.8 is now available, but it will be worth it to me. that maschine 2 with the inverted screen is such a little dickens.

Or N.I could be ergonomically correct in the near future and I wouldn't have to. Yup! Just went there. Man this be why I get band for a week lol. Everyone knows anything built like this should have a swivel screen so you don't have to look down dude. Just because N.I didn't put it there doesn't mean they shouldn't have man I swear it's like if they made these things without pads it would be ok because it's N.I and they do no wrong lmao. GTFOH.

I'll definitely upgrade. I've had the mikro for about 9 months. it's been great but i really want the full control of the bigger maschine. And as for the swivel screen, i know no one wants to spend more cash but doesnt the new stand give a bit of tilt?

I have had the maschine for a a couple years now and it is such a solid product. I dont know if I need to upgrade the hardware to the mkii at all with all the same functionality available with the older unit. I dont know if those new screen look all that much better. Without a controller only price it is just too much cash for em to throw at something i essential already have. Maybe i will get a mkii mikro and have some old skool mki with a little mkii but will NI software support more than one controller. hmmmm.

I doubt they will have a new controller after this update. maybe in a year and a half. Why go to all the trouble with the color coding new knobs increased pad sensitivity faceplates and stand?

I personally would prefer they spend time on refining the software. The only improvment I'd be looking for would be additional controls for the vst section, but this could perhaps be an add on controller or even an iPad or Android pad..

I'll likely upgrade to the MKII if they add a few more needed features to the Maschine pakage, lkie audio track and midi tracks that can play independantly over several scenes..

im happy to upgrade i like the style of the new controllers and faceplates.

and think the colours of pads add extra dimension in addition to the better screen and the encoder knob

    i won't.

Colors on the hardware are not needed for me, i m happy with colors on the soft though.

i really do not care about the faceplate and the new controlers.

The faceplates and knobs are nice but are pretty expensive and are really for the boys who are all about the look rather than making music!

The angled stand is pricey for what it is. What's wrong with using a book to prop it up at the back?

The floor stand looks decent and is an OK price but there are cheaper alternatives out there.
