I use greyscale & the pataphysical brother of it for backings of spoken words.

Sounds interesting, is there an example I can listen to?

    - first, it's only in german
    - second, it's given manually by hand - no online
    - most, spoken words are synthetics

i know its not the original topic but, the idea of the rating system being off is interesting. both arguments are valid. myself, voting is an interesting proposition, many factors are considered. is it a long time user, is it "from scratch", unique, blah blah blah, nonetheless think this is a valid discussion (argument is too negative) if we came up with some better solutions its possible they might implement them.

In another forum thread, a point arose that the rating system should have several categories (eg, sound quality, originality, ease of use, gui...) which I think would be very useful, both for users and builders.

Sorry, a little late to the 'party' :)

I had lost track but after review here is a 'duo form' post of mine, one half of duo being 'Greyscale'. Sorry about the end trim/fades (lack of), will have to get on that!

Greyscale is wonderfully simple but deep, perfect in it's implementation and musicality. Thanks so much for your contribution to the library and my creative options :)

..."Barney" uses a double Silverpoint, one of them with a different sequencer. I like this synth more and more:)

    Wow...thanks.

I must admit, I wasn't expecting this thread to be revived, but it is flattering to see it return.

Erm... that's a really great idea!

Would be cool to add Radar plots to the mix too.

    pataScpace example HP FF 189

It's a combination of homo ambiens based on devs by lAzYfiSh and pataSpace mod by Bernd based on GreyScale. German synth speech 'Voice Reader' extracted of chapter 189 Harry Potter Fandom by Eve & John, published as 'Die Schatten der Vergangenheit' on fanfiction.net - now more than 200 chaps. Every time I want to upload an example [mp3/zip] get the message data base error. SIC!
