whoa! where are the presets.. NKI ?

i installed k3, and manually copied my sample libraries. the funny thing is i cannot find my Nki files ..
can anyone help me locate em ?

i will have to run the full install process.

 

nope, they are not there, so you can not locate them...
it's a bug in the Komplete 5 update program, it does not install any of the nki files! (this is stated somewhere in one of the other posts)

so all we can do is to wait for an update, ...
It would be great if somebody could simply zip the presets and post them in the kontakt user lib?

i saw them being installed in one of the folders.. will try to extract them ul, as of now i am not capable of using the k3 library content..

rest K3 seems to be running smoothing on my puter

 

I also tried to manually copy the files from the library DVD and there were no nki´s. I repeated the whole installation process completely with the library (without any manually copying) and then the nki´s were created. Maybe you can try that.

In my install on c2d imac, osx 10.4.10, the nki files were installed in the "Sample Libraries" folders, but the samples were not installed. I dragged the samples in by hand.

unfortunately the installation process hangs if I am asked to insert the "Kontakt 3: Disc A" DVD; pressing on the "ok" button to continue does not do anything, the installer waits for the "disc A". So I did copy all 33 Gb by hand, but now I am left without the nki files....
This is really frustrating, why can't NI not simply make the .nki files available in the protected update area?

Same situation here but it kept dying on Disc C for me. Copying by hand obviously didn't do all it needed to. Give us some help, NI, please...?

 

Well .. I didn't receive the DVD Library Disc A at all (but two Installation discs - great). So you guys are somewhat lucky I guess :-(.

Sorry to hear you have all sorts of problems with your installments. At least I could just choose to NOT install the 'Band' section and skip directly to disc B. Everything else went fine.

I have waited for a week now for a reply to my issue, but have so far heard nothing from NI.

The other problem with not having the presets installed, is that you don't get the presets for the convolution reverb and other fx settings.

 

hey, well, at least these I got! (I think I saw them being installed when watching the installer at work)

ps, the presets are a bit hidden in a sub-sub-sub-sub-sub directory, I will look them up tonight at home and tell you where they are supposed to be.

 

Hi, I checked for the presets, they should be under
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 3\presets\...

the IR wav files are all there, about 150 Mb of content

Hi,

I had a similar problem, but figured out how to fix it! When you place the DVD 1, click on the "Komplete 5 Setup.exe" icon (the one with the computer icon and Wait until the temporary files are copied to your C drive's TEMP folder! All of the libraries will be installed correctly with nki files and presets files (as Bee West mentioned, presets are located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 3\presets\...). When the installer prompts you to insert the different DVDs and click "ok" do that, and it will work!
