Why Can't I Assign Midi Mappings to the Active FX Deck anymore?

I'm trying to map my MIDI controller to the effects, corresponding to the active deck.

In other words, when Deck A is active, let this knob control FX 1
When Deck B is active, let the same knob control FX 2
When Deck C is active, let the same knob control FX3

Why can't I do that anymore? I thought Traktor 2 was supposed to be an upgrade, not a downgrade..

Thanks for your support guys.. PS: I hope I'm wrong about the downgrade for TSP2.

    Thnks again.

Traktor has never locked FX deck to deck focus. I put in a feature request a while ago.

I am POSITIVE that they locked it to deck focus, or I had at least found a way to lock it to deck focus in Traktor 1!
One second, let me reinstall TSP so I can show you what I mean.

I await your results. If you're right, then I wasted loads of time mapping all the commands 4 times and using a modifier.

THE DEVICE TARGET ALLOWED ME TO ASSIGN TO EACH FX UNIT, DEPENDING ON THE DECK SELECTED. HOW COME THIS FEATURE WAS TAKEN AWAY IN TRAKTOR 2?
    ---
To be extremely honest, Traktor 2 is starting to piss me off, the sampler decks are a disappointment (replacing two WHOLE decks), and now my MIDI configurations are down the toilet.

What about Traktor with 4 decks + a SIMPLE SAMPLER BANK for SIMPLE SOUND EFFECTS? I have to hook up VDJ in the background and use frikkin MIDIOX and MIDIYOKE to control both programs with one Xone 1D, just so I can trigger sound effects!

Why would native instruments TAKE AWAY features in the MIDI configurations, it doesn't make ANY sense to me!

I HONESTLY hope I'm wrong so I can feel stupid about myself because right now I'm honestly willing to sell my TSP2 and shell out an extra 300 for an SL4! As much as I despise serato over Traktor!

Traktor is BEYOND a disappointment for me, and I CAN'T TAKE THESE WORKAROUNDS ANYMORE. I'm done!

Yes It's used to Do That by "Device Target"
But in 1.x version not 2

    Stupid is an ****ing UNDERSTATEMENT.

Well it's whatever cause I'm switching to the serato side. Why the hell am I going to clubs early just to set up a frikkin audio 10, when I can get the same features w. an SL4... yeah this is my LAST post on this forum, I don't even want to open this stupid program again.

Don't bother insulting me because I'm not going to visit nativeinstruments.com AGAIN after I press POST QUICK REPLY. What disappoints me the most is that fact that I gave these people a chance... Gosh what a waste of ****ing time.

I remember the day I was excited to buy TSP2, and how happy I was to see Traktor Scratch Pro evolve .. now look at me.. wasted a bunch of time and have a hard drive with 10000000000000000 Traktor files just to keep up with my collection or whatever the **** its supposed to do. Whatever, no point in ranting I needa save up for my SL4.. im outtie
