why do i always need to locate user samples

why do i always need to locate user samples every time i close and save projects my user samples and kits cannot be found i have a large maschine library with groups and projects. does anyone know why i have reload them every time from an eternal drive

 

You can disable the option to scan user content on startup in the preferences. I recommend turning it off. I think it’s under Library > User.

most of my maschine groups samples do load but the ones that do not load are the ones looking for the user location on the c drive for maschine groups and projects and thats the one it keeps looking to. their must be a way to change this. the struggle goes on

 

Is it just the user items? For me example I store all my projects and plugins in my dropbox directory.
I open project and I have to tell the system to go search that folder for whatever the project needs.
Same situation as you?

 

I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU CAN STOP MASCHINE POINTING TO THIS DEFAULT DIRECTORY NOT ALL OF MY MASCHINE GROUP LIBRARY POINT TO THIS DIRECTORY SO CONFUSING?

What paths have you got ?

 

if your samples are not saved into the default directory, then you need to tell maschine where they are.. it follows that if Maschine does not know where your samples are, it wont find them and will ask..

So.. have you in Preferences>Library>User added a path to where your samples are?..

if not, then expect things to keep doing what they are doing.............
