Why do I have to reset beatgrid and BPM's after upgrading Traktor to 1.2.2?

I've had to do this with 1.2.1, and with the version previous to that...

It seems as though every time I upgrade my version of Traktor, I have to reset all my beatgrids, and BPM's.

can you tell us a bit more about your settings, file formats, folder structure, organization, ... etc.

what you describe is not the normal case, personally i've not seen this at all.

yeah dude this never happened to me
mind you i did lose some settings/midi configurations etc but fortunately not beatgrids

best bet is to backup your playlist (right click on the playlist and choose export playlist - and ask to include saving the mp3s too) before updating as a backup

I play all my music through iTunes...But I export my playlists to the "Traktor" Playlists. Apparently with Traktor, you can't save BPM info directly to iTunes playlists. You have to export them to Traktor playlists.

Most of my songs are MP3's, and bring up an error message saying that track info cannot be written to ID3 tags...And yet, I can still calculate and save BPM info for those tracks. I have a few DRM protected tracks that won't save BPM info, but those are very few.

    Export it to where exactly?

Does Traktor actually save play list info as a separate file? If so, where can I access those files?

after you click "EXPORT" they will ask you where you wanna save the exported playlist file + mp3 files, backup your playlists into an external hard drive or something, be sure to tick the "copy files" to make sure traktor saves the nml file and also the mp3s

Those tracks will have the data stored in the collection.nml file which will not follow the tracks themselves but should not be changed by updating.
