Why does the B4 (AU version) distort?

I'm using Logic 6.2.1 on a Mac 10.2.6, and when I use the B4 with any preset, there's a large amount of distortion. All my other VSTi work without any problems. I tried lowering the fader in Logic, but it just reduces the volume, not the amount of distortion, so that isn't the problem.

Anyone have any suggestions for a first time user?

I'd appreciate that.

Does anyone work here? B4 AU version, is not compatible with Logic. There's a serious problem with it. I had to convert the VST ver. in order to use it.

 

Imagine, I believe that you may be experiencing the distortion assumed to be inherent in a B3 with Lesie and some age and road experience on it. Try backing off the drive and sede if it helps.

I tried that, but it only lowers the volume, the distortion is still audiable, no matter what level I have it at.

It has to be a bug. I don't see any other solution. I've tried just about everything.

Have you gone to the back panel of the B4 and just reduced the volume?

I noticed that some presets were distorting when first loaded, but backing off on the volume fixed it.

NI did get in touch with me. When using the B4 in AU version, it isn't compatible when recording at 48K. They are working to fix this bug.

They confirmend this 48kHz bug in AU-version to me also and promised to fix it "as soon as possible". This was on 30. July 2003. Seems a hard bug to be fixed.
