Twice now this has happened. If I update one of the Komplete softwares through the service center the update process completely removes my VST's. First happened when I updated Guitar Rig. Today I installed the entire Komplete suite on a second machine of mine. All the plugins got installed (64bit). Then I ran the updater and when I went to load one of the plugins once again they were ALL gone except for Absynth. What the hell is up with this? Now after hours of installation I have to reinstall each software all over again and am sooo extremely angry right now. And yes, I've rebooted. No plugins.

Well, just tried a Google search out of curiosity and apparently others have experienced this too. Here's three links I found within the last minute:

    https://www.native-instruments.com/...lls-after-updating-via-service-centre.263709/

    https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/service-center-is-deleting-vsts.266416/

    https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/massive-completely-missing-after-update.197312/

I could likely link much more, but am now wasting most of my time reinstalling the whole damn thing.

So this time I re-ran the installers and left the default directory for vstplugins that NI sets, if I recall correctly it was C:\Program Files\Vstplugins. Did the install then the updates and verified the plugins were indeed updated. Then I just cut/pasted them to my plugins folder. So that works, but if you use any other path (at home I use C:\Cubase\Vstplugins and on my second machine I used the Steinberg default path) it deletes the dll's after updating. This doesn't happen with Absynth however just as reported by another user in one of my linked reports.

This is significant Service Center bug that should be fixed for all products! Apparently it was only fixed for Absynth 5.

Just sent a report. Other issue too... can't get Rounds installed. I downloaded from the link in my purchase receipt email and it starts the download and keeps failing. Apparently another well known issue. If I try to run the updated downloaded it won't install since it's not already installed. So many issues.

Did you also try the Rounds downloader from here (or is it the same link from your email)?:

Are there any (specific) error messages?

So the Rounds installer might indeed be affected by my work's firewall. That's fine, but....

NI responded to my report first telling me I need to right click and "Run as Administrator" for the Service Center. Well, I'm an IT Professional for a living and I did indeed try that, and it didn't work. I responded letting them know that didn't resolve the issue. Next response is "You need to reinstall the application". God damn, how lazy. I pointed out the links in my original report from others experiencing this. I had this happen at home as well ( so before it's suggested... no it's not a firewall issue as my DAW at home doesn't have one running, not even an antivirus as I keep the machine off the net until need). I told them they can easily reproduce the issue. Install Cubase and either use the default location or use something else, like C:\Cubase. Then install Komplete and direct the plugin install directory to C:\Cubase\VSTPlugins. After it's installed simply run the Service Center and update all the programs. Voila... all your Komplete dll's in the C:\Cubase\VSTPlugins folder have been deleted except for Absynth 5.
