I don't know exactly where to post this thread, so I randomly choose to post here.

Why don't (any) softsynths respond to Midi program change.

I am using a Midi controller keyboard (i.e. Yamaha KX88) and I would like to be able to simply change presets from the front panel of the keyboard.

Also, I'd like to for my Midi sequencer to control program change.

OR maybe softsynths do respond to program change, but I'm not doing something correctly.

All my softsynths DO respond to MIDI program changes commands. Make sure you have the softsynth set to receive on the same MIDI channel you are sending the program change on. The KX-88 can send on two separate MIDI channels. Make sure you aren't filtering out any Program Change commands at the softsynth or host if you have one. Make sure you are not filtering it at the controller. :)

Most NI software receives program change events, but sometime Reaktor won't recognize it (depends on the ensemble... it's a bug in Reaktor).
