it's so easy to say that software crashs because it's a mac or it's because it's a PC, but the reality is that it's sloppy programming. things would run great if they were done right in fact i have a bunch of software on my MAC that does't crash. reason and protools run great, in fact they almost run flawlessly. it's not the computer, the hardware manf or anything else except for poor programmming.

ps i bought the upgrade CD.

The piracy rate on pcs is much much higher than on macs. I wonder what percentage of people who use absynth on the PC paid for it vs the Mac. People who are willing to pay more for a system they consider to be superior are more likely to pay for software, I suppose.

Reaktor is the only piece of software that I've used on OSX that is buggy (including Vokator.) OSX still never crashes, but Reaktor unexpectedly quits every 10-15 minutes of use. That lets you know where the problem is. NI has not made a passable OSX port so far.

And please don't tell me the quality is lower because of the demand -- I don't want to thing of developers not fixing Mac bugs because there are fewer users or it is worth less money to NI.

ps. as much as i complained earlier i've managed to get it running pretty stable. i haven't had any crashs but some ensembles (especialy stuff from the user library) refuse to open. they don't even show up in the open menus. any ideas?
