I just went out and purchased FM7. Much to my surprise when I got home, I noticed the CD is Mac only.

I have purchased a few plugins and are so used to Mac and PC versions being on the same CD, it didn't even occur to me to check this in the shop.

I have to wait 3 or 4 days before they get the PC version, but is this something that goes for FM7 only or does Absynth also comes in separate Mac/PC versions? I can understand if something huge like Reaktor are in separate versions, but a plugin like FM7? It can't take more than 75 - 100MB on the CD, so why separate versions?

You must got an old FM7-Box. In the meantime we have produced Win/Mac CDs and didn't sell them seperatly anymore.

I got one of the first FM-7 PC boxes, with the installation bug included, thanks for bringing out the bug fix :).

If I recall correctly, NI was going to post the hybrid online for us PC-only owners, what happened with that?

For FM7, that involves getting a new CD from NI. The shop I bought it in, has already ordered a hybrid version from their supplier, and it's in the mail and should be here Friday or Monday at the latest.
I just have to hold my breath in the mean time :)
