Why so few free presets on Massive X?

Massive X is supposed to be a flagship synth for NI but it has comparatively extremely few presets available.
If you compare it with for example Omnisphere which has almost 10'000 free patches included, it is quite ridiculous.
The recent free addition of House sounds is good but clearly NI needs to do a better job on this.

 

More does not always equal better

 

I really think what holds people back from sharing is the difficulty organising presets into banks with tags - NI have made this impossible for users and third party sound designers, although this is clearly possible in-house as their own preset packs do have this organisation and tagging, but any that I create myself get lost in 'User' - which now has many hundreds of patches.

 

That's absolutely true. Also don't forget that nobody wants to go through the effort of retagging their patches after NI adds that functionality.

 

Hard to compare the two to be honest. Omnisphere is way more expensive than Massive X.
Serum would be a bit more of a fair comparaison and it only has 450 presets

 

Very true - there's definitely room for improvement with the preset organization.

 

just port the Komplete Kontrol / Maschine browser into Massive X, as this would be massive improvement with preset organization
