Hi, back from having to do some real work and from getting rid of a nasty strain of flu I picked up in Britain =)

So since the wiki has been running stably so far, I thought it would be a good idea to explain in a few words what this whole wiki thing is about. Maybe that will get a few of you to contribute to it.

    * Have a look at what is already there: www.beatchemistry.net/wiki

    * Think of Wikipedia - www.wikipedia.org. That's what a wiki is. We would like to have the same in small for all Traktor-related.

    * A wiki is like a FAQ that can be edited by everyone directly from their browser.

    * To edit a wiki page is pretty much as complicated as editing a forum post.

    * Having a wiki page about some topic lets you answer the next "What's the best controller for Traktor" post here in the forum by just posting a link.

    * A wiki makes it easy to find waht's been posted so far about a specific question. Much easier than scouring the forum for posts that are one year old and 20 pages long.

    * A wiki is only as good as the stuff posted by its users. So the next time you figured sth out about Traktor - by all means post it to the forum, but then go to the Wiki and paste what you wrote to a new wiki topic. You can edit it later, others can add on to it, etc.

    * Yes, you have to register to be able to post. Just like in the forum; without that, we'd be spammed by bots in no time. And no, I don't make my money by selling your mail to the spam-mafia (neither do Phil and drixx as far as I know =).

    * It's actually already very helpful if you just post a good post from the forum to a fitting page in the wiki. Then add a link to the forum to credit the original author.

Ok, so now go and let the world partake in your expert knowledge in all Traktor =)

    Cheers, h00la

Derrick Carter... The guy is mental! always has been... Did not think much of his stuff in the early days but having gone back and re-listened to his stuff over the years, I have a much better appreciation for it now and just how good it actually was and is.
