is there anyone in sydney nsw that can come get my traktor s4 working on my brand new pc laptop i will pay for the service

 

We should be able to do this over the forum? Do you have service centre installed? Downloaded and installed the latest drivers, read through the install process properly?

what problems are you having? If you're that frustrated, I don't mind doing a skype session

 

iam runnning a hp quad core i7 processer windows 7 i have sevice centre running and have downloaded the latest updates my computer reconises my s4 controler as in the gain nobs and cross fader works u can even load songs but when u hit play the play button lights up but the wave form doesnt move and there is no music playing i have unistalled and reinstalled and now its just driving me nuts:angry:

 

could be an issue with the device selected in audio setup or an issue with output routing. rtfm (it's installed along with traktor on your hard drive.)

 

i select traktor s4 and as for the routing not sure how to fix that prob as new to this

 

Just curious. Are most of your songs M4a? Try a song you know is mp3. Kinda a long shot

 

i convert all my mp4s to mp3

 

I haven't got an S4 but a
Under the Track Letter (abcd) there's a little arrow, click and and tell us what's there.

Also under controllers the a recalibrate and reset button for the X1 I'm guessing there will be a tab or heading for the S4, anywhere you can see a recalibrate or reset button, hit that ****.

Also right down the bottom in preferences there is a wizard button, hit the wizard, and follow the instructions

Are you sure you haven't hit the midi toggle button, as this would cause the issues you are describing as it no longer sees the S4 as a S4 but merely a controller with a lot of buttons and encoders

 

ok hit recalibrate everywhere even did the wizard buttons not sure where the midi toggle button is everything works on this still but it still will not play

stressful thing is ive had this running before on my older laptop but the screen is dead

Mate don't pay anyone... the guys on here will get you thru... it..!
this is obviously just down to your audio setting if everything on your s4 works except audio output... can you select your own pc's soundcard in audio set up and then can you select your own pc's speakers in internal/output routing/output master.. if you can get it working like this then you know it can only be an issue with your S4 soundcard set up.

Thry this..go to preferences/audio set up and check Kontrol S4(asio) is selected.
then go to preferences audio output routing and make sure internal/external settings are set correctly...
make sure the audio light at the top of the software is blue not red...!
