The beat grid still seems very weak on complicated dance trax in traktor

I am finding it very hard to bpm up some of my tunes,

some my dance club trax have long instrumental parts in the middle

some have 2 or 3 breaks and beat grid markers can just not match up

after the breaks no mater what something has shifted,

is there any way to set an beat grid end marker as the beat starts to shift out and create a whole new beat grid from that point

so one track could have 2,3,4,5 beat grids at different points,

also if you have a track with 2or3 mixed tunes this would also work for beat gridding

    any help will be appreciated

The only fix, belonging to this sub is having dedicated tap button, which in fact corrects most of TP BPM guesses easily.

use mixmeister bpm calculator to get the trax bpm then manually enter it in to tracktor. Set the first beat grid on beat 1 and viola....

This is an oooooold issue that has never been addressed. Bassically the bpm calculation in tracktor is slightly off. If you do a search through these forums you'll find some discussion. But this method works i promise you

    Thanks for your reply

Yes I have always been suprised that such a great program has had this major weakness of analysing the tracks BPM.

Where other programs seem spot on yet traktor is Hit & Miss ....

Thanks for this option using mixmaister, I will give it a try, nothing to loose

lets hope someone at traktor can address the BPM issue when analysing music in traktor

    Regards

If the track has a steady beat eg. no live drummer, no vinyl drift, you only need ONE grid marker. Check out some of the beatgridding tutorials on Youtube.
