will the ddj800 work with traktor?

it looks to be my perfect controller with a proper mic section and unclutterd layout.

people always want the 4 channel controller but ive never seen anyone use 4 channels at the same time ever bar a few youtube videos.

anyway would it work?

 

Yes, you can MIDI map it to Traktor yourself, or wait for someone to release a mapping. Of course the jog displays will not work.

 

But then maybe the displays won´t work!?

bad news:
aftre using it for a while it triggered a FW bug (?) and the screens went dead.
restarting eveything did not fixed it.
did not had time to reapply the FW.

 

Yes, I played with v1.02 a few months ago and it worked pretty well. I only miss the ability to display the tempo range and loop size via MIDI. And the Color FX selector buttons only respond to the ON command, so there's no way to indicate which FX is selected.

On the colorFx: agred, I noticed I had to press twice for turn on / OFF.
