I'm not seeing any legit-looking 240GB MBA2012 drives from UK sellers on Ebay. There's a listing with 0 info besides the part number and it costs £253.

I hear what you are saying but as someone already mentioned, import taxes will be calculated. Since I am living the European Union it would be useless for me to purchase from Asia or the USA as I always paid import taxes on most items til now. The upgrade is usually expensive from Apple but with the Air it seems to also be difficult. On my 13" I upgraded everything myself and saved over 300€....

Think the best option would be 11" 128GB/256GB with i5 processor....

    +1. I'm guessing you're going with 8GB RAM too?

Yap. 8 Ram. Would go with 16GB but not available or am I wrong?
And for external stuff, I'd better take a 2.5" HD or just a big USB Thumb.

oh yeah, one more thing. Is there a way to re-configure the RAM after I purchase an 11"? I just realized on the refurbished section of Apple, I have found an 11" with the configuration I want for about €950. EXCEPT, it only has 4GB RAM. The problem is if I want a 8GB RAM, I'd have to purchase a brand new one and it would cost me about €1400. Thats +€450... DAMN!

    Suggestions'?

    Suggestion:
    Wait for WWDC in June.

There is no way to modify the RAM of a Macbook Air as it's soldered to the motherboard. You could look at used ones elsewhere like Ebay.

I appreciate everyone's input. I've already made my decision. 11" it is. I will wait till June. Who knows maybe there'll be something good in it for me. If not, I know what I'm getting.

So an 11" 128GB/256GB with i5 processor 8GB RAM. Traktor Audio 2. Midifighter 3D. Most likely, I will simply use my 11" with Traktor in combination with CDJ's! Yeay. And the only weight I will be carrying including extra cable, etc will be about 4KG. :) :D

    Cant wait.

New MB Airs are now out. I have a 13" 2 year old MBP that i want to upgrade and like a 13 inch Air 256 GB.

To upgrade the ram from 4GB to 8Gb its $100
To upgrade the CPU from i5 1.3 GHZ to i7 1.7 GHZ is $150.

From a traktor stand point is there any need to upgrade and which one would be more worth it?

I am not much of a computer spec kinda guy. but from the sounds of the past post the 8GB seem to be the way to go but my MBP has 4 and never had an issue.

The i5 will have plenty of power - far more than you need for Traktor. I would at least upgrade to 8GB RAM for future-proofing.

    so I've just ordered myself the 11". 256GB. 8RAM.
My only concern is, will it make a difference form 1,3 to 1,7Ghz?
Anyone thinkg i should rather get a 1,7 instead of a 1,3? oR I wont feel "much" difference?

There will no difference for Traktor or general medium use.
