The Traktor and maschine stuff has worked well on the new windows 10 update. Komplete also... All ni hardware and software. Studio one has worked good also. Don't know about other manufacturers.

Not trying to get people paranoid but last time a big windows issue happened was patching up/updating the latest anniversary about 3 months after release, many plugins had to be patched (probably because they were defective in the first place but had managed to conceal the issue until that patch exposed it).

Chances are everything will be fine though.

Have any others taken the plunge and installed the creators update? Any issues?

Every Native Instruments and a bunch of other plugs totally crashes after update. Lost authorizations to Spectrasonics vsts. Be careful!

I've been pretty fortunate. The only real issue was Maschine loading in a Studio One song. I then tried to run Maschine stand alone and after a lengthy scan and update I haven't experienced any issues.

I've had issues with Spectrasonics (Trilian and Omnisphere) in the past (Win 8 to Win 10) so I was expecting it to be an issue but in my tests it seemed to be fine.

I would advise caution but for me the update was pretty flawless.

Out of interest... Were all the NI products fully up-to-date before installing Creator's Update? And was Windows fully up-to-date before the big update too?

.. and rescan your plugins as well. Lost authorisations are common when doing an upgrade but should be no issue to reauthorise.

I deferred this windows 10 update. I can live without out for another few months and don't see whats the value for audio processing. Win10 isnt' broken for me, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Make sure you make an backup before updating.
When the update apeared it tried it multiple times. It always said: Reverting to previous os version and I the computer stuck in an update loop
After 3 Remote Sessions with Microsoft I gave up and reinstalled the whole computer . freaking winblows

BTW if you have issues upgrading this generally works.

    Backup

    1) Create a new windows user with admin permissions and log in as that user.
    2) Use a DVD to upgrade windows. Try booting from

    If that failed:
    a) Boot from DVD (remember to remove it before it reboots again).

    b) Try the same again and tell the upgrade to wipe your settings (which has obvious destructive implications).

Windows 10 settings also has a "Go back to the previous version of Windows 10" option.
