Not sure this will help anybody; but I have NA on both my main DAW Mac with zero issues, and also a Windows 10 PC I setup with touchscreen to use some apps as 'standalone' synth replacing some of the hardware synths I've sold off.

In any case, it seems with every 'major' update to Windows 10 (e.g., 1703, 1709), NA will break -- at least on my install.

After most recent update to the Fall Creators Update, my NA would instantly crash when it went to 'scan' all my installed libs. NO amount of compatibility mode, or run as admin would fix it.

Finally, took the hail mary approach of :

    (1)
Going to windows > settings > Apps and used Windows installer to remove Native Access; then rebooted.

    (2)
Launched Kontakt in standalone mode; checked my prefs for paths to external HD with libs (well, it's on eSATA bus), checked MIDI settings; resaved okay.

    (3)
Downloaded clean installer for 1.5x; and then right-clicked 'run as admin' on the installer. Installed fresh copy, rebooted; and also right clicked desktop icon as set 'run as admin...' then launched and it worked; didn't crash while scanning my stuff.

    Working now with my version
    Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
    1709 16299.192 version.
