Well, IMHO NI Devs are already overloaded with this Apple M1 / OS compatbility stuff.
I would prefer they focussed more on bugfixing, maintenance and further developement of their products, e. g. scalable GUIs, MIDI and clock issues.

I don't understand the benefits of Win 11 for serious work. So my production system won't get a Win 11 update probably before end of 2022. I could imagine that the majority of NI customers behave similar especially when I consider that many of them have older HW.

    Great!
So... what's your benefit using NI stuff on Win 11? What's better in comparison to Win 10?

One has Start menu in the middle of Task bar instead of on the left. That is the great step for the mankind.
The user experience is boosted to maximum of possible. Less mouse movement required, bilions of hours saved, and it is also carbon dioxide friendly.

I would recommend to wait for the NI developers green light before upgrading to W11 if you're a regular user.
    Just sayin'.

Oh my god!!!! Yes. I forgot. It does not feel so much masculine focused, any more. Women might feel much more safe and comfortably, in Win11. No, masculine brute force in every single dialog, any more. Billions of dollars saved on psychoterapists.

Trouble is all new computers are now loaded with windows 11 so I would imagine there getting their finger out to validate.

Well, for sure not all computers. Maybe some. Often one may choose, or may downgrade if he wants. But yes, NI has to test the compatibility. Or wait for early users of Win11 to test it.

Most probably there should not be problems. Microsoft is not Apple.....

    Hey folks,
Little update, it looks like Windows 11 official compatibility will come by the end of the year for most of our products, if nothing comes in the way. Please consider this as a rough estimate. Please refer to this article as we'll update it as more information becomes available : Windows 11 Compatibility News As a general rule we recommend to wait a little to update an operating system. The changes don't seem as drastic as with recent Apple updates but it still requires systematic tests and investigation.

You're kidding. ;) Windows 10 and 11 are practically identical.
    Of course, fair enough.

One practical observation, I found on the web, concerning Win11 (current version)...
AMD Ryzens run for about 15% slower on Win11 comparing to Win10. It looks like OS scheduler in Win11 does not handle well AMD chiplet architecture, again. :-(((( I hope, MS will fix it soon.

Be sure to wait to adopt Windows 11 on Ryzen as huge performance problems.

Well, I joined the insiders program and updated from Windows 10 to the Windows 11 beta and everything worked exactly as it should do. Come release day and the official Windows 11 wouldn't install because I had a beta so I did a clean install and the Maschine software suddenly became unusable as it would hang the system and crash Windows everytime I opened it. I tried a reset on the PC and reinstalled Windows 11 again and the exact same thing keeps happening - basically it seems to not like scanning the library.

Im currently going to reinstall Windows 10 and install the Maschine and test by doing an upgrade around it like I did for the beta.

One of the Security benefits of both Windows 10 and 11 that cannot be enabled is "Core Isolation / Memory Integrity" aka HVCI. This is due to NI's Installer package using an ANCIENT method for mounting ISO files. GEARAspiWDM.sys is the offender. Get rid of this and use the built-in ISO mounting functions of Windows please!
