won't get much better latency..."much" being the key word. ( sticking with the optical out to my DEQ 2496 in homage of ASIO4ALL)

but i am taking out a loan, and building a new rack-mount, ( now faced with otherwise replacing hardware components for my old rig )

going with an AMD threadripper on an ASRock Taichi X399 board...M.2 drives, 32GB value RAM, WX 3100 GPU....Enermax has a new closed loop cooling series for the TR4.

actually just under $3K projected on the build..( soon dusting off my virgin Windows 10 for an install )

thanks for all the input everyone,

    rulg

will do.....i talked to my loan officer today, and he is supposed to call me soon.

i already got the rack case, the main-board, a 600W modular PSU, and the WX 3100...just to sort of start sizing things up, and it is going to go together well.....but i am going to have to modify the 3U rack case, ( and knew i would have to before i got it ), to take the 360mm radiator and fans....my powder coater moved 30 miles further away, but i am going to try to do a good enough job with the new perf-steel front panel to make it worth the trip.
