Windows - Traktor 3 cant read filenames containing diacritics

Sorry, this is so annoying that i have to create another Thread.

Windows 10 Traktor 3.3.0 (dont know about previous versions) cant read any files containing diacritics (ä, ö, é,...) in the filename. If the diacritics are just in the tags but not in the filename they work. Is NI working on a fix? I expect this from a 20 years old MP3-Player, but not from a current DJ Software.

I also have this problem since update to Traktor 3.2.1.9!
With the Backup to Traktor 3.2.06 it is still working.

 

I also have this issue. Its not just the filename it's the directory path. Since I use iTunes with iCloud I can't change the file path name that is created when a song is downloaded. My workaround is to then move the downloaded file to another directory path which does not contain the diacritic, and then open this new folder in Traktor in Explorer. The file will then load. Never had a problem with this on previous versions so hopefully it's a easy fix for the developers.

 

would be nice if someone from NI could say if it will be fixed in the next update. Finding the specific files and renaming them (what i actually dont want to do) takes a lot of time, at least in my library.

 

Same for me, I have too many filenames and directory paths with diacritics (ä, ö, é,...) . It would take a much too long to do it.
When will NI fix this major bug ?

I am surprised that this bug is still not gone.
Do you know guys that the New Year is coming and we, DJ's, probably need a reliable tool to work properly???
Almost two months that this big bug is among us and we still have no solution...

 

try 3.3.0.69 which was released a week ago. Should work now.

 

Is this an official release?
