I would like to have that feature ^^.

Like I said in other posts, I am truly happy Ni decided to board the 64bit train. I just hope they support the caboose I be driving.

    (what a bad analogy:)

I agree with Quoid (spelt it right this time!). One more vote for WinXP x64 support.

I agree wholeheartedly. Who really wants to move to Vista at this point?

Agreed, while we all hope Vista (and drivers) will be more stable by the time K3 64 bit is released...there is no guarantee it will...in which case XP64 would be the obvious alternative (as it already is for many today). So if its not extremely difficult for NI to add it, XP64 support could prove to be very helpful indeed.

    Cheers

Yes please please add support for XP64. This is the current choice of the electronic musician over Vista.

Thanks to all of you for speaking out. Here is what I just posted in the 64-bit thread in the other forum:

Regarding Windows XP 64bit support, I understand this aspect will be evaluated more closely during the development process. Depending of how much of an extra effort it is, it might or might not happen. It's too early to say right now, but I will keep you posted.

So. that's all I can say for now. Stay tuned!

    Regards, Thomas

Thanks for the reply Thomas. Don't you mean 'Windows XP 64 bit support' as I had assumed Vista would be supported anyway?

Thanks Justin, good catch! That was obviously not what I wanted to say, so I just corrected my original posting.

I am a Win XP64 user and I need a Kontakt that supports 64 bit memory addressing and more than 64 MIDI channels OR a Kontakt that supports multi-client ASIO drivers (but I would prefer the former because at this point it should be standard).

MIDI channel limits AND not supporting multi-client ASIO is just BAD DESIGN.

Many advanced users require far more from Kontakt than its development team seems to wish us to use.

It makes me sad. I regularly use 6 or 7 MIDI ports. 4 is just too few.

Running Macbook Pro on XP x64 now with great results, Kontakt 3 support for XP64 is a must!

Another vote for XP64 support. I probably won't upgrade to K3 unless that happens.

    another vote for XP64

I also vote for XP 64.
From my polling of colleagues, they all use XP64, none use Vista.
Benchmarks at Dawbench.com have found XP64 superior to Vista64.
Since both XP64 and Vista64 are based on Server 2003 SP1 codebase, it should not be difficult to support both.
BTW, forget WaveRT, which is a non-starter for ProAudio.
Even Cakewalk ads no longer mention WaveRT.

I'd love to see XP64 support too.
I have no interest in Vista or Vista64 whatsoever.
