Anyone that knows something will move on to VISTA 64bit Ultimatum instead!

VISTA 64bit SP1 has much more enhanced support for multi threading:s & Multi CPU:s then XP 64 or XP32bit. Also is stable like XP32 after SP1 and then the GUI look much nicer and are also 100% flexible in color schema too. You can make you own colors schema too if like.

And don't forget all the new security features in VISTA are really awesome like the same as on “LINUX” platform. Now you can actually connect your DAW computer to the Internet; something that I couldn't even dream on doing, on old XP platform.

I tested Vista 64 Bit and came to conclusion that at this point ( even with SP1) it's not worth it for the professional musician.

Vista is so bloated with background services that I stopped counting them. Most of them are not known so it's quite risky to turn some of them off.

I'm on XP 64 now and can tell that the performance is great.
It even doesn't take so much ram because it's not overrun with so many background services like Vista.

So, until there is a proven knowledbase with a "How to optimize Vista for audio" , and this can take a very long time, its a no go for me.

A big vote again for XP 64 :D
