I've suggested to friends to update from Dynamo to Reaktor Session, however, after reading many comments that imply refund instead of bug fixes, inability to read converted ensembles and so on I'm wondering if this is happening on WinXP boxes or mostly OS-X?

I'd hate to be the reason someone gets stuck with software nightmares. Reaktor 4.01 has some bugs but not to the point that it's not useful (Athlon XP1700, Delta 44). Could some Reaktor Session people let me know if they've experienced problems and how serious they are?

    Thanks.

    M audio dock bobbing crash

    Hi all,

I'm having the same thing and I'd like to try what the second to last post suggested about uninstalling m audio drivers and reaktor and then reinstalling reaktor ..I think that might work. Anyway is there some better way to uninstall these things besides just throwing them out?

Hey NI, when's the update coming out that fixes this?

    Thanks,

    Alberto

Alberto, I can appreciate the m audio driver issue, I have a Deta 44 but so far it is working well...on the WinXP platform.

It is very disconcerting that no one can discuss whether they've had decent experiences with Reaktor Session. So again, anyone on Wintel, can you discuss your experiences, good or bad?

Reaktor Sessions is very buggy on XP. Crashes a lot, won't load R4 ensembles, Dynamo ensembles crash, wiring doesn't seem to work, resizing can be a problem with some ensembles etc. etc. Probably nothing to do with XP though. Probably just a buggy release.

But why are you talking about refunds for. I'm sure the bugs will get fixed. Won't they NI?

I brought it up because a couple of users have been offered refunds on Reaktor Session which is either fantastic customer support or signs of a very long and drawn out bugfix, which by your account sounds necessary.

I'm uncomfortable suggesting the update only to find ensembles I'm working on in Reaktor 4 probably won't work in Session, not to mention converted 3.05 ensembles.

At this point it's safe to say all the people asking for Reakor, myself included, may have wished for a longer release date. I should add that beyond a few bugs R4 has been working well so far.
