A good question, considering the official release's tomorrow.

I tried one of the early release candidates, and it was a no-go for my system: it lasted a half hour before I removed it. My boot time doubled, I started to get MMC errors (which had never happened on any of my machines before then) and all sorts of screwy stuff like that. Even with the rollback to SP2 and various restore points, it still took me a couple days of playing around to get everything back to normal.

On the other hand, there's lots of people who've been running one of the RCs without any problems whatsoever. Personally, I'm going to wait and see what the public response is before I install the release version. YMMV...

SP3 was nothing more than a minor refresh. No major functionality changes that should affect any of the programs that would normally run on SP2. :)

Think I'll stick with SP2 on my boot camp then for now =)
