wish list

1> a fly out panel for controlling loops (similar to FX and EQ) - I don't think my fingers can stretch out a 32 beat loop! I'd like to see controls here for loop length, and loop position.

2> some way to nudge the waveform, if the sync or phase isn't quite right (or you want to play the same track on both decks and mess with the phase )

3> a quicker, less fiddly way to get back to the deck screen without loading a track - that note icon is way too small. This should maybe be a gesture, if you can swipe to reveal the track library, why not swipe back?

4> I'd like the option to play, or not play when I skip to a cue point in a deck that is stopped. Currently the track will play from cue point automatically.

5> option to prevent loading a track into a dec that's already playing.

6> not a wish for features this one: I don't really get the point of "freeze"?

Otherwise, fantastic effort and one that really plays to the iPad's strengths and makes the most of the real estate, resisting the urge to create anachronistic turntables or CDJ's. Top marks to the UI and UX teams.

 

3> You can, just swipe it down.
5> Sort of important but at least you have a visual cue on the loading toogle, it indicates the playing track in orange.
6> It's great, choose a certain kind of zoom and play as if it was a way to trigger samples. You can literally "play" the song at your will.

That said, my only urgent request:

- Please add support for multiple audio devices like in djay, where you can use the iPad's audio output for monitoring and then attach a single stereo out to the camera connection kit for main out.

 

3> aaah, took a bit of fiddling to find the sweet spot for that swipe, the bar just below the waveforms when you're in library view. I was hoping for a broader gesture than that. Something more dependable in the heat of the moment.

 

Freeze mode is pretty awesome, but I would like to work with it in a flux mode... In a loop this s possible, so why not without loop as well? That's the only request I have playing with it all day.

 

more important than any of these - ability to use multiple audio devices (functionality that already exists in iOS 6) so that you can use an external interface for the main out alongside the headphone socket for monitoring

1> Yes... I do love the current loop gestures... But a second option would be good when my fingers aren't feeling limber.

2> Yes Yes Yes... Prefect beat matching is great... Unless you want it to not be so perfect... Let me nudge my loops, just like the desktop version.

3> I'm ok with getting to the browser... But can I turn off the Traktor DJ suggestions?

4>. Yes... Cue-Pause, not just Cue-Play...

And... 7>. Give me an option for deck independent manual tempo control... I just feel naked without tempo

 

Yep, the nudge thing is definitely high on my list of priorities. You won't notice much of a need for it when playing on your own, but it's really handy when you want to get / keep anything in sync when you're going back to back with anyone!

 

That's what I would like

 

Double tap a fader and it moves to its default, ie cross fader and eq's to 50/50 position. A feature in DJay app that I sorely miss in TraktorDJ..

This feature does work in Traktor DJ double tap eq's and fader and return to 50/50 position.

 

Only if you double tap in exactly the right position. That's not the same thing. The faders go to where you tap on oPod touch gen 4 not the 50/50 mark,

Also is there a way to make it just play through a playlist without having to manually load and play each track? If not please add that too!
