Trying to figure out what the Audio feature will bring to me personally as I don't use loops at all.
What I do though is to make my self some kind of loop or rythm and then in my daw render this to audio and move it tiny bits in the arranger to achieve a certain groove. I now wish I could do this kind of work within Maschine instead!

    So to clarify:
    - MOVE an Audio clip within the pattern forward/backward using drag and drop or Maschine HW controls (Playback should be affected as you move the clip. Just like it works now when you drag midi notes in Maschine, which is great!)
    - COPY/CUT/PASTE/JOIN Audio clips

    Cheers

Do you mean "Move" as in move the start position of the sample or moving the sample within the pattern position "linearly"?

So you mean one sound/pad could hold slices of different audio loops? That would be nice but it would need a whole new system so its practical from the hardware. IMHO there would need to be warp makers first, so we could have a functionality similar to Serato sample, it would be a lot more useful. Copy/paste/join sounds like a feature for a fully linear timeline (song mode).

Thanks for the nice mockup D-One,

I primarily meant moving the sample within the pattern position. Like on Sound 3 in your example.

Being able to "edit" the loop by cuting, moving and joining parts of it was what I thought about. And you are absolutely right, it's a step against a linear timeline yes.

Still the "moving" feature is the number one for me.
